One of our customers (Cheshire Kat) was so excited about getting her order from Meyer Imports that she actually did a blog post of the unpacking! We love it! It's fun for us to see an order, on the "other side", (hey I remember packing that one!)
Hmmmm, Mushrooms, Moss, Earthflakes, Lots of our Germany Miniatures, Glue, what could she be making?
Maybe more of these?
Or something like this?
We will have to wait and will need to watch her Etsy Store!
Have you creating something cool with some of our Meyer Miniatures? Send us a snap! Or a link to your store. Remember, We reward those who blog about us, so send us your link today! And make sure to stop by Kat's page to see all the pictures of her unpacking!
Another one of our fun videos. Making these videos are really new to us and I really need your comments (good and bad!) Too long? Too boring? Too Glittery?
In this video we are highlighting our great collection of Glitter Shakers! both to highlight what we have in our store, but also to give you tons of great ideas on how you could store and show off your Glass Glitter!
Ok, even I have to admit, that title was pretty bad. I might be a little punch drunk after listing a bunch of these shakers on the site, including a very nice, large shaker (pictured above), that we were able to buy in large quanitites. So, now about 1/3 of our shaker collection on the site, some with Glitter, most without. <click here to go to Shaker Town>
The large shaker is really cool and does a great job of prodiving a nice even coating of glitter, also the holes in the top are big anough for Shards (yaa!) It is always really hard to find shakers that can handle shards, but we got them!
So, now we can all shake, shake, shake down to shaker town together!
We do like Little Glass Vials, and if you are like us, why stock one style, when you can stock 6 different sizes and shapes?
We have found that the most popular vials are the one that hold under 1/2 oz of glitter and in the some cases these little vials only hold a "big pinch" of our treasured glitters. but once filled, they look like jewelry, not a bottle to hold your supplies in!
We are no longer stocking most of the the "big bottles" and have become the source for cute, small and unique bottles! Bulk pricing is available and should be on the site in the next few days. So, if you need 100 or 1,000, we can help you with the best price around! <click here for pricing>
My new tag line is that glitter (and beads for that matter) have a mind of their own and you have to containt it, or you'll have it everywhere! Thanks to my readers, I found these little craft trays and just loved them. Liked them so much a bought a bunch and now have them in my store. They are little "funnel" trays so you have both a nice work area in the tray, plus a funnel to help get your leftover glitter back into the bottle! < for pricing - click here >
I would have to say it reduced my loose glitter by 92.685%, which means I still had some loose glitter trying to sneak away. (but I caught it and got it back in the bottle as well!) But these trays REALLY helped to reduce the amount of glitter that was ending up on my floor, carpet, and even in my hair. We use them all the time in the shop and could not live with out them.
You will need a little brush (as pictured) as the glitter does not like to go home on it's own. Sometimes you have to nudge it and then followed with a quick rinse, your tray will be 100% ready to the next project!
In this video we tackle one of those most asked questions about our glitter..... Will it cut me? Well, see our dare devil presenter dive head first into a bowl of glitter, only to emerge sparkly, shiny but without any glass glitter pokes! (Ok, so I put my hand into a bowl of glitter, it is almost the same thing). What you will learn in this video is how Glass Glitter is formed to create different grain sizes (Grits) and which grain size will be right for your project.
Bonus footage (see a blend of 70 and 90 grit created in front of your eyes).... Wooo! Exciting!
This is the fist of our videos, so please give us your comments. We can do more of these if you like them. So, please share, comment and let your friends know!
