I feel a little guilty on presenting this project, as it is sooooooooooo easy it not really a challenge worthy of the readers of this blog. But the results are so stunning, that even my wife was shocked (shocked!) that I was able to create these. (I am better with a hammer than a glue gun....)
However, I did make them and they look great (I think) and now will live with my Christmas houses on my Christmas Train Set. But that is just me. You could use them anywhere you want some color and holiday fun. So, here is the project, with probably WAY too many pictures, but I was so excited that I was actually doing a project, I could not help my self......
I started with some of our Little Green Christmas Trees, some our of Glass-Tac Glue and some German Glass Glitter. (all available in our store of course! See below for links)
I made a puddle of glue and then just rolled the tree around it to cover it well.
Then I just poured some glitter over the tree, making sure to really coat it well. I tried 90 Grit on my first tree, but did not like the effect, so I switched to 70 Grit (Chunky) and really liked the look much better.
The White Glitter looked a little like ice when it dried, so I tried another tree in an another color:
And then another color.......
And another.......
And, I kept going.....
And Finally, figured I needed at least one Blue Christmas Tree in my forest.
And, after the glue dried, here is my Glittery Gum Drop Forest!

Love this idea! I just bought some little trees and wanted to fancy them up a bit. Now I know how!

The wee trees are really stunning and a great way to use the glass glitter; I like it and can't wait to see more of your projects. H x
