At first I was really not sure how I felt about this, but after reading the blog and seeing the result, I realized that using Silver Glass Glitter and Ink, is a very clever way to "blend" the colors of glitters to match the project you are working on. While we are NOT planning to use this process to create new colors (we already have well over 200 color / grit combinations in stock!) I just had to share this as this effect is really cool! Kinds of Silvery, Colored, Sparkly and Custom Made all in one! For all the step by step details, a list of materials and lots more photos, please click here.
From Bianca's Site: "I'm not much of a glitter person, but I've always been fascinated with the way that German glass glitter looks. Traditionally it only came in silver or gold but in the last couple of years its been made in more colors. This put me in a bit of a quandary, since I could never make up my mind as to which color I wanted. And then I had a eureka moment: I didn't need to buy it in a bunch of different colors, I could make it in any color I wanted with my copic re-inkers.
I thought with the holidays fast approaching (a time when even the least bling-leaning of us tend to reach for the sparkle) it would be a good time to post a quick tutorial on how to colorize German Glass glitter with copics." Read the rest of the post here!
