Ok, shoot me for not being politically correct, but come on now, have you ever seen a more beautiful sight? Lovely vials, all filled with glass glitter.  Makes you want to put these on your crafting shelf, not to use them, but just to bask in their glittery glory.

No Hole Tiny Glass Beads from Germany!

While not as glittery as glitter, these beads also make for a great presentation. Just 1MM in size (for you non-metric types, this means small!) and with no holes, these beads are a great additional "tool" in your crafting toolbox. And Paul has them all! DIY Glitter Snowflake Ornaments

A few days ago, I proclaimed this to be the Season of Holiday blogging. Part of the reason for this was that I had been neglecting my blog (and felt guilty about that) but the bigger reason for this change is the absolute flood of great material sent to me by our customers (oh how I love your emails!) And the fact that Glitter and the holidays kind of just go together mean that the Season of holiday Bloging is on!

And one of our customers you will be hearing alot about is Paula at Ginderellas. To start this chapter of the story, we are going to fast forward right to Glittery Snowflakes, which are a great follow up to our Glittery Stars of last week!

Marian at Mustard Seed Interiors is one of our favorite customers and a enthusiastic fan of Glass Glitter as well. And since I just did a post on "could I Glitter that" which included Glittery Pine Cones, I thought a nice follow up would be this post on How to Glitter Pine Cones!

And yes, there is a technique to it and while not difficult, for the best results, do as Miss Mustard Seed does!

Now this is my favorite picture, just look at all that luscious Glass Glitter, almost jumping out of the craft tray to leap onto the pine cone. Each little grain of glitter hoping that they will be selected to be "one" with the pine cone for ever and ever.

Yes, I do get carried away a little bit when it come to glitter, but it really is a great picture.

Jayne Asks "Think I could glitter that??" Yes you can!

 

We have found that Glitter creates long time friendships, as we "glitterers" are a different breed altogether. When you start to see the world into two separate categories, things you may glitter, and things you can't glitter, you know you are just not quite the same as the non-Glitterers.

Examples:

• Pine Cones, Cutout Stars, Putz Houses - Yes, may be Glittered.

• Small Children, Pets, Bath Water -  No, should not be Glittered.

As further proof of this phenomenon of the true Glitterer, our friend Jayne (Daisey Jayne~ make, restore, reinvent)ends her blog post with the line:

Everything looks better with a touch of glitter!

While we certainly do agree with the sediment, we still prefer our small children without Glitter!

However, what Jayne does prove in her blog is how glittering can allow you to see the simple things we all have around us in a totally different light, the light that sparkles off Glass Glitter.

DIY German Glass Glitter Stars (Thus starts the Holiday Blogging Season!)

Our friends over at Domesticspace just posted a very nice step by step project for creating Glittery Stars. I saw this and thought, what a great project to the start the "Holiday Blogging Season".

You see, now that I have finished my Thanksgiving leftovers, it is time for me to "Think Glitter" for holiday projects and that means I need to get off my duff and start posting all of these great Glittery finds that I come across.

And Jeanne gets the prize of the First Blog that caught my eye, with her great pictures, easy instructions (love using recycled cardboard) and a real family DIY project. (However not safe for kids under  8 year old due to the real glass used in the glitter - my lawyer made me say that.....)
