This is a 1950's vintage mastercrafters No 47 Action Starlight Clock. Anyone who knows me, knows I like anything vintage. And I like Silver Foil Flakes (Or Flitter). Here we have both something very vintage and a great use of Silver Foil Fritter!
These fritter flakes are sooooooooo light that we have to sell them by the gram! But a gram fills up a normal jar that we sell an ounce of Glitter in. And as you can see with this Clock, once the oil in the tubes warm up and starts to rise, these little flecks of real foil just float like a leaf on a breezy day. These foil flakes are a great material to play with and we stock them in gold, silver or Copper!
These are the tubes, filled with oil (maybe water) before the lamps in the base of the clock heat them up. Look at all those foil fritter flakes sleeping on the bottom, just waiting to fly like a bird to the top of the tube.....
