Halloween Day. A day to put the Glitter away. And say Thanks.

We have had a really great Halloween season this year. Our best one ever. I say this, not by looking at our sales for the season (which is one benchmark) but rather at the overall engagement of our customers.

So, this Halloween Day, I do not want to announce some new product or offer some "deal of the day" I just want to say thanks.

and here is why:

• You stuck with us when the times were bad and we struggled to keep the doors open.
• You helped us by suggesting new products you would like.
• You read my blog and "liked" my posts.
• You sent me pictures of your projects.
• You told us when we were wrong, and thanked us when we were right.

You did all of this and more.

You may not know this, but by reading my blog, shopping at our store and using our products you are part of a really elite group of designers and crafters.

I could name names, and you would really be amazed at who our customers are.

Famous and on TV, yep a customer. Largest consumer technology retailer, yep, a huge customer. Designers who you see featured in magazines, plus high end retail shop and home decor shops? Yep, great chance that they are customers. And, if you saw German Glass Glitter on ETSY - almost a sure bet, they are a customer.

But you know who is not a customer? Walmart, Target, Michael's, etc. They have talked to us and then buy from China.

That's ok. They are not our cup of tea. They are shocked I am not willing to crawl over broken glass to kiss their toes. Not going to do it. Do not want to part of the retailing mega ecosystem. (But I do shop at Target, kind of like their stores, but that is a different subject!)

So, we are are still small, by design. And we have great customers, by design. And we are having a blast, by design. As we worked really hard to create a business and a product line that by definition, weeds outs anyone who is not like us.

And this turns my thoughts towards you.  Yes you. Thanks for being part of our family. Thanks for saying Yes to our business with each order you place. Thanks for helping us through the tough times and sticking with us during the better times. You are the most important part of my company. Without you we have nothing. With you we have everything.

So enjoy your Halloween (for our international friends, we Americas are weird about Halloween, sorry) enjoy your family and sit back knowing you that this is a day where we salute you and all you mean to us and all you create with our products.

We like Shout Outs! Thanks NES, from Haifa, Israel!

It is truly amazing that a company would come across our products and feel compelled to tell they users about us! But this happens every day, it is the reach of the Internet that allow us to have a global reach, with customers in over 50 countries and weekly shipments to Canada, Austrilia, England, France, Japan, Brazil and even China! (but never to North Korea, not really sure why...)

Let the count down begin! It's almost Halloween and time for German Glass Glittered Pumpkins n’ Leaves

As we all get ready for Halloween, some of us are just a little more ready than others! For example, Lori (from the blog A Pinch of Glitter) has already glittered her pumpkins and done a wonderful blog post on all her techniques! 

And on top of that, she raised the "pumpkin" bar, by creating fantastic Glittered Fall Leafs. This really just makes a stunning Halloween Fall display and to see more, just check out all the details on her blog!

This is just one example of the power of our design team and the creations they design. I am always just amazed at the beauty of our glitters once that are in the hands of a master! So, thanks Lori for sharing and for creating both a wonderful Halloween display, but also a full blog post with all the details!

Breaking News from Glitterfest! We won!

We are back from Glitterfest and have some really great news! We won the award for the most Beautiful Booth! Of course, we had a secret weapon that no one else could compete with, a table full of bowls of German Glass Glitter!

Could anyone really come close to this?

I proclaim this to be the Week of Glitterfest!

Glitterfest is a pretty big deal for us. We do not do alot of shows or events, (might be doing more in 2014, but it seems like CHA and other gift shows are really not where it is at now adays) If we are wrong, please do let me know!

What I love about Glitterfest is that it gives a chance to talk with really high end artists, and to show what our Glitter looks like in action!

Since yesterdays blog post was about new items for our store, I thought I should follow up in today's post about these really nice Vintage Miniatures Witches on Brooms.

These were produced back in the 1980's in Germany & we thought we had ran out of them! However, the beauty of having a warehouse full of boxes is that every once in a while you find something you thought was long gone!

so, just in time for Halloween we have these back in the store (click here) and in very limited quantities. So if you like them, and we know you do, please order them before there are gone.... this time forever.....
